The purpose of the Tracks and Topliners grant is to support organisations and individuals who are writing and recording works with the intention of selling them to third parties – for example to artists, for use in commercials, in films / TV and the like.
Who can apply?
The Tracks and Topliners grant welcomes applications from all organisations and individuals who are members of Koda.
What can I apply for?
The Tracks and Topliners grant covers recording expenses associated with the recording of titles that have not previously been recorded and released and with the intention of selling them to a third party (artist, band, commercial, synch (film/TV) etc.).
What must I include in my application?
An application – one page or less (to be submitted in a PDF format)

Applications for the Tracks and Topliners grant are processed by the DPA market committee. In 2019, the committee comprises:
Details about the funding
If you are awarded a grant, you will receive a pledge for support; this pledge will remain valid for one year from the date on which your grant was awarded. If your project is not completed within a year, you can request an extension. Extensions are granted for a maximum of one year from the date of your request to have your pledge extended.
Getting a pledge means that the grant will be paid out when we receive the relevant documentation (receipts, agreement, invoices etc.). Please note that the grant does not cover daily allowances.
If you wish to use the grant for a different purpose than the one stated in your application, you must first get permission to do so from the grant committee.
When can I expect a reply?
You will receive a reply to your application approximately two months after the application deadline.
