You must be a member of Koda to apply. Almost There, is for songwriters and composers of all genres.

Almost There cannot be applied for by publishers, music companies, managers, and companies.

The project must be completed no later than six months after the date of commitment. You cannot apply for funding for projects that have taken place.

The pool supports:

-Your own transport to a showcase

-Study mix etc.

-Transport of a collaborator for your project, musician, arranger, producer etc.

-Arrangement of your own music, swipe, choir etc.

We will assess your application based on your information and attached music. A maximum of DKK 3,000 can be granted and only against receipts and documentation. The same project will only be supported once.

The pool does not support:

-Hire musicians

-Transport to camps, retreats, longer journeys

-Teaching

-Equipment and programs

Almost There is not a work grant. If you are seeking funds for the process of writing, you can apply for a work grant through Autor.

You can search Almost There all year except for July and the Christmas period between December 20-31 (approximately). There is a monthly application deadline, and you must therefore make sure to apply before the specific deadlines if you want to be granted funding in a particular month.

You will receive a response 15 working days after you have submitted your application. However, reservations are made for national holidays and holidays.

The grant lapses if we have not received documentation that the project has been completed within six months from the grant date. Note: An extension cannot be applied for.

You apply via Koda's application system. We recommend having these things ready in advance before starting your application:

Your Koda number.

Brief description of the project and estimated costs – approx. 500 characters. You can apply for DKK 3,000. The application must state specifically what you are applying for support for.

ou cannot receive support for the same project from several pools under Koda Culture. This applies according to 6.D in our regulation. Find the regulation here.

This means that if you for example apply for publication, you can only receive support once for your publishing project. You cannot receive support for publication from both The Publishing pool, The Up-and-Coming Grant and The Recording/Release Grant at the same time. On the other hand, you will be able to receive support for other processes of the same project from other pools. For example, if you have received support for the recording/release part of your project, you can apply for support for the next phase of your project, e.g. for promoting your release or from the PR pools.  

We have pools that support the different processes that your project can go through. The processes can – from an overall point of view – be divided into:

• Create (idea, clarification, writing)
• Improve/develop (coaching, camps, education)
• Release (record, mix, master)
• 'Disseminate' (PR/marketing, concert production, fairs and exhibitions)
